Nagz Terms of Service

Version 1.0 — Effective February 17, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nagz ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Nagz is a family-oriented AI-mediated reminder and task management system. Family organizers create tasks ("nags") for family members, with AI providing communication mediation, escalation, and summarization.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have organizer consent.
• Child accounts (under 13) require organizer-mediated creation and consent per COPPA requirements.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• One role per family membership is permitted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, bully, or abuse any person.
• Submit false abuse reports.
• Attempt to circumvent safety controls, rate limits, or blocking.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Create accounts for persons without their consent.

5. Organizer Responsibilities

Organizers who create child accounts agree to:

• Provide verifiable consent for child account creation.
• Monitor their child's use of the Service.
• Review and manage task policies, consequences, and AI mediation settings.
• Accept responsibility for content created under their family's scope.

6. AI Mediation

• AI features provide communication assistance only and do not constitute professional advice.
• AI actions are bounded by organizer-configured policies.
• The "meds" category is a reminder label only; the Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• All AI actions are logged for transparency and auditability.

7. Content and Data

• You retain ownership of content you create.
• You grant us a limited license to process your content to operate the Service.
• We may anonymize and aggregate data for service improvement.

8. Safety and Moderation

• Users may block other users, report abuse, and mute notifications.
• We reserve the right to investigate reports and take enforcement actions including warnings, restrictions, and account suspension.
• Abuse report SLA targets: critical safety reports reviewed within 4 hours; standard reports within 24 hours.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• Upon deletion, your data will be purged or anonymized within 30 days, except records required for legal compliance.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms and will provide notice of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
